Words that describe Communion

Remembering: Logia

Luk 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Remembrance means 1. The action of remembering something.
2. The action of remembering the dead, esp. in a ceremony
A memorial is an object which serves as a focus for memory of something, usually a person (who has died) or an event.
Logia, where we get the word Eulogy, means to speak good of the dead.
So a part of remembering Jesus is to speak well , good of him and to remember His death.

    ………….
    amen!

and not to remember our sins during communion.
but rather remembering what Jesus has done and finished which is the forgiveness of our sins!

    amen.

    – grace and peace
